Ann Meissner Sjulin, M.D. SPS Foundation Distinguished Alumni 2019
Ann, a 1980 graduate of Sutherland, was actively involved in school activities: volleyball, basketball, track, cheerleading, student council officer, band, choir and National Honor Society. She was also very involved in community activities and a member of the Presbyterian Church. Her post-secondary education included Hastings College and University of Nebraska Lincoln, where she received her Bachelor of Science degree. Ann attended the University of Nebraska Medical Center receiving her M.D. degree.
Dr. Sjulin has been employed with the Mid-City OB-GYN, P.C. since 1993. Her Appointments and Hospital Affiliations are Nebraska Methodist Hospital, including the Womens Hospital location and also Bergan Mercy Hospital. Honors and awards include the Wyeth-Ayerst Resident Reporter to the 1992 ACOG Meeting and Ortho Pharmaceutical Outstanding Research Project Award. Publications and presentations include, the Nebraska Medical Journal, OB-GYN Grand Rounds, UNMC and Residents Research Day Omaha.
Ann is passionate about community involvement. A member of King of Kings Lutheran Church, a past YWCA board member, Great Plains Girl Scout Leader, Nebraska American Saddlebred Association Secretary, King of Kings Confirmation Leader, Alpha Phi Sorority alumni and Methodist Women’s’ Hospital Task Force. Ann is married to Dr. David Sjuin and they have three daughters Lucille (Lucy), Charlotte (Lotte), and Jacqueline (Jacki).
